Sports Clinic, Rizal Debate and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Well it’s the weekend and I’m hardly feeling the restful atmosphere. Yes it’s cold to the point when I’d want to bathe in the noon sun. I actually looked up the PAGASA website to see if the cold weather would persist long enough so I could use my org jacket in the wee hours of the morning when it’s freezing cold and I’m still shivering under two layers of blankets. (gasp)
.
Unfortunately it says the cold weather will persist until the 2nd week of February and just in time for the Lover’s season. It just goes to show that no matter how you try to escape it, the season follows you and blows it’s message on you… literally, and those winds are very cold.
.
Anyway I’m on rest period because I went to the gym yesterday, did a few misinformed leg raises until I corrected my posture (no wonder it’s not working) and Pilates ball crunches which I sooo enjoy and some other stuff I don’t want to remember.
.
Anyway after the hurried gym session I quickly went to the tambs to join the sports clinic that the LSR peeps organized.
.
And I just wanna say it was great! WEll not as great as the Anilao field trip but great nonetheless! It started slow for me because I didn’t join the tennis crowd and the basketball crowd is full of sweaty icky boys (I really don’t like sweaty contact sports). But I finally got a badminton partner in Bart. Even though half of the time we were laughing about how the bird would get entrained in the wind or else the almost invisible thread that was hanging above our playing field.
.
Eventually (meaning after the pancit lunch which Johan’s mom cooked) I joined the tennis hype and what do you know I actually enjoyed it! It was my favorite of all the events. Even though I think if all of us would be given grades for our tennis prowess I’d be given a 5, I still enjoyed it. At least, by the time I gave up the racket, I was already able to hit the ball over the net, although not always into the other court.
.
I was also able to swim in the frigid pool! Hehehe and do a bit of basketball shooting, (I actually got in 1 ball!!) and a quick round of volleyball where I was never able to actually volley.
.
Yeah I think technically I did every sport and overdid tennis.
.
Which is why my right arm is sort of crying right now. Anyway I won’t have to do anything strenuous tomorrow, at least nothing physically strenuous. I’m due for a debate on whether or not Rizal is a bayani or not tomorrow. Apparently hero and bayani are two very different things. Or so I read.
.
Anyway I had to got o UP today to talk to my 11 groupmates about our plan of action for tomorrow’s debate, unfortunately, only three were present. Great huh?
.
Well we basically got it figured out… I think.
.
Well not really. Hehehe I guess we’ll just wing it tomorrow.
.
Although I am researching for other stuff regarding Rizal’s apparent lack of qualities for being hailed as a Bayani. I’m on the negative side of the debate you see.
.
And while researching, I just happened to procrastinate and drop by mugglenet and whaddaya know?! Harry Potter 7 is coming out this JULY 21!!! WAAAAA Joy of Joys! There is still hope! Nyahahaha.
.
And it just happens to be a few weeks after the fifth Potter movie release! Whaaaaa! July is Officially Potter month, not to mention my Dad’s month of birth so I’ll just have to convince him to give himself a copy of the book like he did with Half Blood Prince!
.
I am soooo excited nyahahaha!
