Almost New Year
It’s almost New Year and I figured I needed to make one last entry for the year.

Honey and Clover
.
Actually, what made me write this entry was a really inspiring anime, hehehe, its called Honey and Clover. It’s a "slice of life" genre anime, it has no plot, to story just college students living their lives. It’s one of the cheesiest animes I’ve ever watched but I liked it a lot.
.
It’s very funny too. No single anime has made me laugh out loud so much. It’s cool the way things are so serious and then somebody suddenly does something stupid to lighten the mood.

The animation is also very very very VERY good! Yeah! usually animation gets a little dull after the first season, (like bleach, more like bleh!) but the animation on this one is just soo great, the details the scenery and especially the characters. I usually judge the anime by it’s animation and cinematography, I don’t watch ones that aren’t kawaii, unless of course it has had a lot of positive reviews (like bleach again)

Not to mention the cool music with the great lyrics. I wish I could have a CD of that, even if its Japanese and even if I don’t understand the lyrics without the subtitles I still like the music.

The anime has a lot of unrequited love though, actually maybe a bit too much. And it usually revolves around that. But aside fromt hat it also has the common stories that every person goes thorugh, trying to find yourself amidst the hustle and bustle of life, surviving through poverty, disappointments and of course.. love.

I like the way that things are viewed in sort of a haze when things get serious, almost as if the animators are protecting you from the cheesiness of the scene. Hehe.

Back to Reality

WEll after a long looong vacation, I’m finally starting to do some "real" school work, since tommorow’s the deadline for ChE 135. I still have to write ChE 140 and make a presentation though.

I’m making a lot of progress though, and I’ll probably make more progress once I finish watching honey and Clover. Hehehe every episode makes me want to watch the next one.

New Celebration!

Since I applied for unlimitext I basically greeted evry globe user in my phonebook! hehehe
.
It might sound childish but I’m always excited about New Year, basically it’s the only family based event that I’m excited about these days. Well maybe because there aren’t many family events to choose from.
.
I really like that all my cousins and I are very close though. We used to always go out, me and my cousins. We’d go to theme parks after Christmas, sing during New Year, go to tons of resorts during summer and back when most of the older cousins we’re getting married and having babies, we’d always be at weddings and baptismals and birthday parties.
.
Unfortunately, most of the older cousins have their own lives now. I remember back when I was in elementary, most of the family would be present during New year. But now, the only the ones that come are those who live close by.
.
It’s still fun, though. I guess now it’s my turn to be "the older cousin" or maybe the tita, cause I have so many nephews (yeah I have tons of nephews). And maybe one day the younger ones would miss what we do today like I miss what we used to do.
.
I hate New year because it’s so nostalgic. It reminds you of the things past and makes you sad about it, but it also reminds you of the good things yet to come. It’s good and bad at the same time, but people still celebrate it.

SOmetimes I wonder if everybody else’s New Year is like mine. Everytime I’d strike up a conversation about New Year and how fun it is in my family, the subject changes. I wonder why. Or maybe I’m just too over enthusiastic about it.

Well, i’m all psyched up to write that abstract for 135, hehehe. It was kinda nice writing another entry. ^_^
